For the start of their 2nd year the guy watched Starship Troopers. The 1997 adaptation of the Heinlein book staring Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards and Dina Meyer. The guys get into their usual except for E-Roc's intense hatred of the movie and the other guys pretty much loving it. There is a lot of talk about the book, the terribly military tactics, how bad the acting is and just in general how much fun it is to poke at the movie. Episode 24 time and it's the 2005/2006 film Brick staring Joseph Gorden-Levitt and Emilie de Ravin. This low budget indie film was the first real starring role in films for Levitt and it was written/directed by the guy who did Looper. E-Roc has a personal connection to the high school used in the film, there's lots of confusion about parts of this movie and then they try something new and answer dumb questions that people have posted in IMDB. The definition of holiday for them meant anything from Thanksgiving (the American version of it at the end of November) all the way through new years. Christmas Vacation - Ep 22 - The Awesome Movie Podcast
Sunday Dec 15, 2013
Sunday Dec 15, 2013
Episode 22 is the holiday classic beloved by many (and hated by some) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. This 1989 film starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Juliette Lewis and Johnny Galecki follows the Griswald's on another misadventure only this time through what Chevy Chase hopes will be the perfect Christmas. Many crazy antics take place and the talk about this movie also sort of devolves all over the place. The guys talk about Christmas movies in general, how truly terrible Band Aid's trying to help people song really is and then they talk almost as much about other things as they spend with the topic. Hope you and joy and Merry Christmas.

Episode 21 is the cult classic The Crow. The 1994 movie based off the comic book of the same name and starring Brandon Lee, Ernie Hudson and Michael Wincott. The episode is pretty much dominated by E-Roc even though they get into the death of Brandon while filming and the shadow of his father that no doubt covered his life, talk about the Counting Crows and there is a lot of talk about comparisons to the comic vs the movie. After that there isn't much talk about anything else. Hope you enjoy regardless!
